2001
FOPCW’s first group meeting is held to begin developing a vision plan and to set goals. Board members are elected.
FOPCW’s first Earth Day Creek Cleanup—it rains, but we picked up lots of trash!

2002
FOPCW member designs our logo and begins producing our newsletters.
Kids, Revegetation, Assessments and Tours
2003
FOPCW launches the Pinole Library re-vegetation project.
FOPCW Board Member Carol Thompson organizes the first Kids Creek Fest.
Vision Plan
2004
The Pinole Creek Watershed Vision Plan is published. It includes assessments and a list of opportunities for restoration.
Community engagement
2005/07
FOPCW continues to organize regular cleanups, native plant garden workdays, public meetings, and student activities.
Partnerships
2008
Pinole Creek Steelhead Habitat Assessments are completed.
Demonstration project
2009
The Pinole Creek Demonstration project is awarded the Outstanding Creek Restoration Project by the Contra Costa Watershed Forum.

Partner agency EBMUD restores Pavon Creeks in the upper watershed
Fish passage
2015/16
The long-awaited Pinole Creek fish passage is completed
