22 hardy volunteers showed up to December's rainy Community Creek Cleanup in Fernandez Park. Thanks to the City for opening the Youth Center so we had a dry place to stage the event, drink hot cider, and warm up. And thanks to those dedicated youth and adults (and baby!) who braved the rain to pick up 87 gallons/104 pounds of trash from along (and IN!) the creek. You are true allies!
If the weather cooperates, we will meet at Fernandez Park on the Solstice to clean up trash around the park, the Senior Center, and along the Creek Trail. Share some hot apple cider, treats, and the good feeling of knowing you are contributing to a healthy and vibrant Pinole Creek! What better way to usher in the new solar year! If it looks like rain, check our Facebook and Instagram pages the morning of for updates.
